Mummy
The ancient Egyptians believed that death was not an end, but the beginning of a new journey. For this reason, the bodies of rulers and priests were carefully embalmed and prepared for life beyond death.

People told stories, however, that some tombs should never be opened. When the rest of the dead is disturbed, a Mummy awakens from the darkness—an entity wrapped in yellowed bandages, slowly yet relentlessly pursuing those who dared to trespass into its tomb.

It was said that no one could escape a Mummy. It needs neither sleep nor food, and its curse can reach its victims even years later. The only way to avoid its wrath is to leave the dead undisturbed.

Role in The Black Bestiary
Mummy works best as a trading card. Its low Essence is intentional—when sent to the Cemetery, it applies the Poisoned Condition to the attacking Being.
