In ancient Greece, tales were told of Mermaids whose songs were more beautiful than anything a human could ever hear. No sailor could resist their enchanting voices. Mesmerized, they abandoned the helm of their ships and followed the melody, unaware that it was leading them to their doom.

According to legend, Mermaids needed neither strength nor weapons. A single misstep and a moment of weakness were enough. Only when their victim drew close enough did the Mermaid's beautiful face give way to the smile of a predator, and the calm sea become the victim's grave.

Mermaid can take control of an opponent's Animated Being, but only by sacrificing one of your own Beings. She excels in decks that can benefit from sacrificing their own allies and serves as an excellent counter to powerful Animated Beings such as Gargoyle.
