Executioner
In medieval Europe, people believed that a true Executioner was not born a monster — he became one with every sentence he carried out. It was said that a man who took too many lives would eventually lose his own soul. His eyes grew empty, his voice became little more than a whisper, and his face slowly ceased to resemble that of a human.

The Executioner lived on the outskirts of town, far from everyone else. Although he served the law, people feared him more than the worst criminals. They believed his axe did more than claim a life—it severed the soul from its path to eternal rest.

After his death, stories spread of a hooded figure wandering the old execution grounds at night. It is said that he no longer searches for the condemned. He hunts those who escaped justice in life.

Role in The Black Bestiary
Executioner is a specialized counter against Humanoid Beings. His Ritual allows him to send a chosen Humanoid directly to the Cemetery, making him an effective answer to many of your opponent's most important cards.
