Black Goat
In medieval Europe, the black goat was considered one of the most common incarnations of the Devil. People spoke of a great he-goat with crimson eyes and horns curved like sickles, appearing in secluded clearings and places where forbidden rites were performed.

It was believed that the Black Goat was the lord of witches' sabbaths. He was said to receive the homage of witches and sorcerers, and those who entered into a pact with him gained power but lost their souls.

Peasants warned that when strange bleating could be heard at night, as though someone were calling a person by name, no one should leave their home. The shutters had to be closed, the household blessed, and prayers offered until dawn.

For it was said that the Black Goat never comes without purpose. And it never comes alone.

Role in The Black Bestiary
Black Goat is a control card designed to counter decks that rely on Ritual abilities. The additional Sacrifice cost significantly hinders the use of rituals and can completely shut down the most demanding strategies.
